This 1940’s inspired day dress was created using a gridded pattern from an Italian pattern book from the 1940’s. The fabric is thrifted cotton yardage and the direction of the stripes are alternated in the front and back just like the original pattern illustration. It closes with a inserted zipper at the centre back.
