Ballet Costumes

Ballet costumes have a special place in my heart, so classy, detailed, and magical. I have created three pancake tutus and other dance costumes for both personal interest and for practicums (located in my resume section).

Silver and White Pancake Tutu

My most recent Ballet Costume was a silver brocade and white crinoline pancake Tutu. Made for a young teen, consisting of lace up back and stretch pantie to fit multiple dancers. The tutu consists of 12 layers sewn to hold this shape. It was then tacked with embroidery floss to hold the flat shape.

Red Spanish Inspired Pancake Tutu

This was my first fully decorated tutu, consisting of a red lace tutu plate and a lace over the shoulder fringe. The bodice is russian style and fully boned with piped edges. Attached is the lace with gold beads on the edges of each fridge. The tutu plate has black ribbon with gold braid trim on hem with rose at side front of waist. The skirt consists of 14 layers including ruffled layers on the but of the pantie. Skirt also has a hoop in it to hold up the skirt with embroidery floss tacking to hold the shape.

Purple and Green Leotard with Wrap Skirt

Made of Purple stretch velvet and forest green spandex. The leotard has a princess seamed upper part of the bodice with sweetheart neckline and V back.

The Skirt is a textured chiffon with a rolled serge hem and attached to a white grosgrain ribbon waistband.
