“Go For Broke” Spring 2020

I worked as a cutter for two and a half days on a 1940’s war short film. My classmate Madeline Perry was designing and wanted a specific dress made for the character, so I volunteered to help. The actress was one I had already cut for in the “Macbeth” in the fall of 2019. With already having her basic blocks the drafting was quick work.

This light pink shirt waist dress was made of cotton with a white cotton lining. It has fabric covered buttons, gathered sleeves with gussets, side zipper and patch pockets.

The final product was a cute 1940’s dress made over a couple days with two fittings. I am pretty happy with the result!!
